The Parlor Art Gallery, LLC is a contemporary art gallery located in downtown Prescott, Arizona. Inspired by the traditional sitting room of a historic hotel or grand Victorian home, the gallery is a welcoming place to view and purchase art by some of the most innovative award-winning artists. Owner Michelle Larsen’s vision is to offer contemporary and traditional art in a re-contextualized space that feels right at home in the heart of Prescott's thriving retail, entertainment and business district.
All the art pieces Michelle selects for the gallery aim to inspire. Exhibitions are varied, changing year-around and drawing upon the most innovative creative artworks of today. "We like to exhibit work that pushes the boundaries, whether it's through unique subject matter, new materials or innovative techniques," explains Michelle.
Her own work defies traditional conventions in painting. Using a dramatic layering technique, which she developed, Michelle "builds up" her canvases creating stunning three dimensional works that come to life through texture and bold use of color. Her art has won critical acclaim nationally and internationally, including being named in the "Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Art 2018" by ArtTour International Magazine.
